Spring Inspiration

I recently made my weekly pilgrimage to the fabric shop in my home town. When I saw these gourgous patterns I couldnt help it, I just had to have them. There is nothing better than finding a pattern that is just perfect.

Coral is my go too pretty colour choice but I'm recently loving lavender.
The lavender was perfect for a teddy bear. As I worked on my bear the sun was shining and I could hear the birds singing. I'm really pleased with how this bear turned out. I've been stuffing the bears more firmly recently and I like the difference it makes to the shape. There is less puckering around the seams.

Here he is in all his glory. I love the contrast of the coral and lavender. I will definitely work with this fabric again. The best thing about making soft toys is, when you do the final finishing touches, there is a moment when they come to life.
Speaking of coming alive this is the second bunny I've made. The first bunny was made with scrape fabric and was given to the dog. She was over joyed! I really felt bad, she loves soft toys and since I started making them she has been silently demanding one of her own. It was a great way to test the sturdiness of the bunny. After a few days of tug of war the bunny is still in one piece. That's good craftsmanship right there.

Mai Mai with her new BFF she especially loves the ears! If you would like a new BFF they are available on my Etsy store Story Islands
